Kristina... the last thing before my vaca!

I couldn't miss another Kristina challenge!! I'm in a mad dash to get all my stuff ready for vacation (ie. me overpacking and not wearing half the clothes, jewelry, or shoes I'm taking and knowing this but still taking it ALL!!! ) but I managed to bust out a quick card. Under 30 mins... WOW!

Not my FAV creation, but it's alright for being a quick card.
No time for a recipe, basically just all the colors, build-a-brads, & the Always set.
See ya again on Monday!! Have a great week, ladies!!

Once the catalog is done, I'm going to go through my Designer Paper and do some blog candy... Stay Tuned! :)

Kristina... Another one!

I Love, Love, Love this woman...

She seriosuly has the most amazing ideas for color combos! I always love them, and I always have a million ideas going through my head.

This week her combo was this:

I immediately knew I wanted to do a baby card- these are such light, breezy colors. I also couldn't resist because of those booties. Too cute!!

Here is my creation:

I used Very Vanilla textured CS for the base. I layered a pumpkin pie piece under a piece of certainly celery DP. Then, I used a scrap of very vanilla and took a piece of soft sky that I scalloped punched and attached them. I tied a certainly celery grosgrain ribbon around that, and punched holes in the scallops for another look. Then, I made a small tag using the "Special Delivery" saying from Papertrey Ink. I stamped that in soft sky (kinda hard to see...) then backgrounded it with an argyle piece from the pumpkin pie DP. I attached it with a piece of silver thread. Then, I stamped "welcome" from Warm Words in the upper left hand corner. I then attached some similar green thickers to say "baby". SOOOoooo Sweet!

Enjoy!

Fall/Winter 2oo8 Sneak Peek & a SPECIAL from me!

I'm sure most of you will recognize this set... It's Fresh Cuts which will be in the NEW catalog. I got this awesome color combo from Mary, who has posted LOTS of great sneak peeks of the newest sets! I adore her work- check it out! I've cased some of her newest cards because she has such GREAT ideas!!

Recipe:
Going Gray, Whisper White, Soft Sky, & YoYo Yellow cardstock
Fresh cuts & Sincere Salutations Sets
Whisper White craft ink & Versa Mark
White grosgrain ribbon & silver thread

And... here is another NEW set: Wow Flowers!

I made three different kinds of "thank you" cards for recent customers & potentional hostesses. Watch the mail- maybe you'll get your own!! ;)

Recipe:
The NEW In Colors... Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango, & Pacific Point Cardstock & Ink
Whisper White cardstock
White Grosgrain ribbon

The next card is also from Wow Flowers... I added in the color Baja Breeze and colored my white grosgrain ribbon to match my cardstock! Such a simple trick (I just used me blender pen to pull the color and then colored the ribbon and let dry- there are lots of ways it can be done) and it gives the ribbon such a great match to ANY color!

The next card is using another set, Heard from the Heart. I've been needing LOTS of birthday cards lately, and I love this sentiment. I cased this from Mary, too. I LOVED her Kindness card(which includes a great tutorial on the new scallop punch- I SO shoula bought that!!) so I mimicked that with this new designer series paper: Bella Rose. I also introduced the final new In Color here as well, Pink Pirouette. I finished the card with some rhinestone brads from the Fire collection. Think they add a super classy touch!

Kristina Werner Design Blog Challenge

WaHooo!!!

I had enough time tonight to do challenge #15. 15?? OMG- where has time gone?!

I LOVE this color combo, but I couldn't figure out which set I wanted to use SO I made Kevin pick!

Enjoy!

Recipe:
One of a Kind Set
Textured Whisper White, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Textured Certainly Celery, Really Rust
Styled Silver Hodgepodge (retired in the last mini BUT all other sets are on sale for 25% OFF right now!!)
Satin Chocolate Chip ribbon
Scallop border made with slit punch
Paper piercing

Decor Elements

Here they are!!

I love the way they turned out (although this is a 3 piece set, one of them wouldn't stick to my wall!! I think it's because of the location-above my stairs and hard to get to) and now I can't wait to use the other set I have to make something else fabulous!

Let me know if you're interested in these, I will send you a catalog. This is just the first set of many to come. I'm loving all Stampin' Up!'s new stuff. My catalog pre-order is on the way- I'll post some cards with the new In-Colors when it arrives!

The next pic is part of my cousin's grad gift- a tumbled tile with a photo of herself. I just love the way it turned out. I sprayed it with acrylic to seal it all up when I was done. The pink photo box is decorated with her name (using Thickers by American Crafts) and an embossed image from Doodle This in the upper left hand corner. I pulled out some awesome & super thick black ribbon to tie it up. Inside the box is a gift I'm sure she'll love and will come in handy (and of course it's something to do with stationary! ;) )

And of course I couldn't leave without posting a card!! This was made for our good friends who just had their second child- a baby boy named Mitchell Andrew. Too sweet!!
