MY Christmas Cards

Just wanted to give a quick look into all the cards I made this year. I went SUPER simple because I've been just SO busy. I'm currently working on lots of Thank You and Birthday cards so that I can have some for my own stash! I am using KWerner's previous color challenges and I'm hoping to get caught back up!!

Hope you enjoy these... I'll be back with more updates later!

Aunt Peg's Workshop

Back on November 1st Aunt Peg hosted a holiday preview workshop. We made a couple cards... here they are:

I got the idea for the turkey card from a magazine that the Stampin' Up! Demo's receive. I knew Aunt Peg wanted a Thanksgiving card and I couldn't find any sets that I was DYING to use. I knew this would be fun and perfect!! The ladies were all new stampers, so it was great to show them how to use lots of punches to create a cute card!

I used the Season of Joy set to make this easy Christmas card. We inked the main sentiment in versa mark and colored it in with pastels. I love the way it turned out and everyone liked it!!

Two Cards, Same Set

I made both of the following cards using the "Home For Christmas" set that is in the Holiday Mini Catalog.

Eileen wanted something with LOTS of glitter, and likes real Christmas green. I accent the Glorious Green based with Riding Hood Red paper and ribbon and embossed the main image with Irredescent Ice.

Devra wanted a card that resembled the one directly in the Mini. Here is what I came up with...

Kevin helped me a TON by coloring all 25 of the main door images for me. What a guy!! :)

I'll post more in the next few days... Enjoy!

My oh my...

It's been an awfully long time since I've posted!! Here are some recent creations to tide you over for now. I'll be updating more often soon, promise!! I've been extra busy with Christmas card orders, a baby announcement order, among regular card orders. And... we've been busy preparing for spring when our little one will arrive!! :)

Enjoy, folks!!

Laura's Workshop 9.27.08

Here are the 3 cards that we did as make-n-takes for Laura's party. There were just 6 of us total, a nice size group for making these kinds of cards.

Card 1 Recipe:
4 1/4" x 5 1/2" whisper white cardstock
3" x 4" tangerine tango cardstock
textured scallop punch in kiwi kiss
Pocket Shilouettes set
Tangerine tango & kiwi kiss classic ink pads
Scallop border punch
Mat pack & piercing tool
1 3/8" circle punch for flowers
Piece of satin kiwi kiss double sided ribbon

The second card is probably one of my fav's. It was really pretty simple, just a tad time consuming since 6 people had to color in the main image, huff (blow only your breath on the image to re-wet the ink), and then stamp. It was fun, however. Everyone thought it was funny to say that they were "huffing" at a party. Haha.
Card 2 Recipe:
5 1/2" x 4 1/4" baja breeze cardstock
2 1/2" x 3" whisper white cardstock
2 3/4" x 3 1/4" pink pirouette cardstock
3- 1 3/8" circles of pink pirouette cardstock
3- 1 1/4" circles of whisper white cardstock
Riding hood red tafetta ribbon
2 pretty in pink brads
Mat pack & piercing tool
Pretty in pink & real red markers
Baja breeze classic ink & blender pen
Riding hood red classic ink
Season of Joy stamp set

Card 3 was super simple. I used the newest set I have, Say it With Scallops & a small piece of Urban Garden Designer series paper to make a sweet 4x4 kraft base card. I added a piece of Night of Navy ribbon to complete the look. I stamped the image in Baja Breeze. I punched the image out with my newest punch, the scallop square!

I should be back later with another post... I completed Kristina's last challenge, and it's Wednesday again so she should have another one posted!! Keep an eye out! :)

...

So, I know I haven't posted much lately!

I've been busy with things in my personal life and I truly haven't stamped much at all in the past few weeks. I have a Kristina Werner challenge still sitting on my desk (of course it's past the deadline, but I don't care) and I have cards to make for orders as well.

I also got a huge Christmas card order from the hair stylist (60 criss cross cards for her to send to clients with 1/2 off, free color, etc.); I have a workshop for Laura @ my house on Saturday; a World Card Making Event @ Amy's on the 4th of October; and Kevin's aunt Peg scheduled a workshop for the first of November and wants one Thanksgiving card and one Christmas card to be demo'd; AND on top of those I have my Stamp Camp starting in November too!

I'm busy- and I love every minute of it!!!

If you are interested in Christmas cards or a fall/winter workshop please don't delay in setting one up! :)

Here is a card I made recently for my friend Heather, who is due in October with her first little one!

Baby Shower Items

Well... Shantelle's Baby Shower went off without a hitch. Now I get to post all the things I made for it!! Here are 6 centerpieces. They were filled with things she'll need and they were all part of her gift from me and my mother.

Kristina Challenge... My Idea!!

So... a few weeks ago Kristina asked for ideas on her forum. She wanted pictures that she could use for the color challenge. I immediately had in mind this great shower curtain from Pottery Barn Teen. I LOVE that magazine!!! Sooo... I send her the link and this week's combo is from MY pic choice! Woot!!

Sadly... I have NOT been very creative lately. So... I cased a card from Beate (I had been wanting to try the emerging color technique for a while) and made a second quick christmas card for my stash of "to be sold" items.

I'm starting to book up for the month of October and November. If you're interested in a workshop or class, please let me know ASAP. Also... I have only TWO spots left for my stamp camp that begins in November. See this post for details.

KWerner #21

Just trying to get this in before the deadline. I'm of course having issues with blogger not wanting to add my pics. Grrrr. I'll be back to add more as it starts working better!! :)

I saw this flip book on Amy Celona's web site, and I decided to try it out for Kristina's latest challenge!

I made this for my sister-in-law who loves fun, bright colors and is turning 23 next month, along with taking the LSAT! I'm thinking this will totally make her day, and I can give her pictures from her party to fill it with afterwards! :)

I have some finishing touches to add still- like glitter & rhinestones, but I love it already!
Hope you do, too!
