And so they Retire...

Lots of stamp sets, that is!!

Here is the retired list. These sets will only be available now through August 10th, so get them while they last!!

For anyone who order 2 (or more) sets of retired stamps, you can choose another for 50% OFF!!

There are some really great sets on this list, many of which I've been eyeing myself. Now's the time to snag them up- and don't forget about all the sets that have been around for YEARS that are heading to retirement too... like Greetings Galore! Plus, the hostess sets are all leaving us too- if you've been wanting one of them now is the chance!

Another reminder: The In Colors will be gone, too! So- get your ink refills, ribbon, and cardstock because once they are gone, that's all folks! :)

I'm looking forward to showcasing more Sneak Peeks in July- so check back often! I already love Fresh Cuts, so I can't wait to see the rest of the catalog!

Kristina Werner Challenge #11

HAD to play!!

Here is my card:

I used lots of white, and textured cardstock at that. I wanted to really capture the textures of the room. The "So Saffron" paper is from Basic Grey, American Crafts thickers, a Bazzil flower, and a Happy Birthday sentiment & white ribbon from SU! wraps it all up.
And here is the inspiration photo from Ikea! LOVE that store. :)

Thanks, Kristina for another great challenge!!

Apparently I'm a liar...

I know this weekend came and went without a peep from me! I can explain, really!!

We spent the weekend busy doing all sorts of fun things with friends & each other. I had everything ready to go on Sunday and worked on cards pretty much the entire day! I was so proud. Then, we got hit with a really bad storm. It knocked out our cable, which runs our phone & internet. Bummer.

I couldn't even watch the newest season of Design Star start up... what a disappointment.

Good news is, we weren't hurt. There was NO damage to our house, cars, etc. And, we have power. I know LOTS of people who STILL don't have power and there was another round of storms last night.

To make up for my absence ( I see I was really missed by all the comments on the last post :P) I'm sharing LOTS of cards today!! Enjoy!

I used lots of Rub-Ons this weekend since I have long been neglecting them! Here is a Welcome, Baby card I made. I used textured cardstock for the base, some of the Designer Series Paper I got from the Hostess pad and Perfect Day Rub-Ons ( Only available through the 30th of June!!)

I used more Rub-On's for this card. This time I pulled out some from Sale-A-Bration back in Feb-March. These are called Love & Happiness. Look for some more Blog Candy THIS week to get another SET (from SAB) and some of these Rub-On's!!

I made this card for a friend at work who just found out some bad news. She's taking it pretty well, but myself and another girl wanted to cheer her up. It's hard to see, but I stamped "giggle" in the lower right hand corner. (See the final card of this post to see where this card originated)

The next card is from Beate's Weekend Sketch. She always has such awesome entries! I decided to play along since this was a pretty easy sketch and it worked perfect for this sentiment, which I've been dying to use. The flowers are Flora Doodles by Petaloo.

This final card is from the Featured Stamper Challenge over Splitcoast. This particular card was made for last weeks' challenge. I LOVE the way it turned out. I never think to use gray as a base, but since I did I can't get enough. The card above was made to mimic this one- I just changed the papers, colors, and I made the flowers above by using my scallop punch instead of a stamp set.

Hope you enjoyed all my creations from this weekend. I'm still up to my ears in wedding invites- and I have a workshop for my mother-in-law on Monday. I'm excited to show off some more goodies!

Check back this week for that blog candy!! ;)

Ok...

I've been working feverishly on this invites... I finally got a printer to work (after 4 different ones!!), lots of trials, lots of e-mails, calls to people, and Kevin spending hours and hours researching stuff online!! Grrr.

I've been so busy, but I PROMISE I'm going to post something this weekend. I still have a Monday Mojo Sketch I want to do, the color challenge for this week (which has been done before), Beate's Weekend Sketch challenge, and so much more.

I just placed a couple orders at some new sites... Verve Visual & Scrapgal. I've seen a few people use American Crafts Thickers- they are like sticker letters and shapes, but they are made of a few different materials (like foam, or felt, or velvet, or chipboard) so I got some of those. I also ordered two on-sale sets from Verve- one for Graduation & one for Dad's. Very, very cute.

Can't wait to get my new stuff and hopefully next week I'll MAKE time to use it.

Thanks for holding in there for me- I promise I'll be back more regularly real soon!!

Dress Inspired Challenge

I LOVED this challenge on Splitcoast. The idea is to look at movie's, pick a dress that you liked/were inspired by and create a card to replicate that dress.

I immediately picked the dress from The King and I- It's a beautiful gray ball gown that has amazing puffy sleeves embellished with perals. The skirt is a huge hoop skirt and the entire thing is beautiful satin. LOVE it.

Then today, I decided to try another. One, because I wanted to make one to represent the person who's nickname I go by, and secondly because I wanted to try another card with sticky cuts. I'm still try to decide if I will make a card to send in for this month. Hrmm. We shall see.

So today's card was made to replicate Dorothy's dress from the Wizard of Oz. LOVE the way it turned out- I really like the ribbon weave technique and thought it'd be perfect for representing her gingham dress.

Enjoy!!

Amazing June Specials!!

Fresh Cut Promo

I'm sure some of you have seen the 3 cards I've posted using the Fresh Cut set from the NEW Catalog... Here is YOUR chance to get this stamp set & the Fresh Cuts Note Cards BEFORE the Catalog is released!

From June 1st-30th you can purchase the Fresh Cut Set and add on the Fresh Cut Notes for only $5. If you host a workshop totaling $400- you'll get them both for FREE!!

Besides being a fabulous set- it comes die-cut, so you can ink it up right away!! And, the note cards are die cut too, so they make it really easy to punch the pieces and you have a simple, yet elegant, note card.

Let me know if you're interested in this set OR the fabulous note cards- or better yet- BOTH! I love them, I know you will too!

I'm off to make another Kristina Werner Challenge card- with the RIGHT colors... Hope you all had a great weekend. How about that Wings win?! GO WINGS!!
