A mini showcase...

I find that I don't post often enough, so here are some recent creations!

The first card was a color challenge on SCS, the same challenge I featured in my Fresh Cuts blog post from yesterday! This time I used Bashful Blue instead of Soft Sky, however.

Since I've been on a kick with the black, purely pomegrante, and soft sky the past few weeks and I've made several cards lately using that combo.

This final card was made for a good friend's b-day, who happens to be an interior designer. I wanted something with really clean lines, but I wanted to throw together some awesome colors too! I pulled out the retired Cool Caribbean and tossed that together with Groovy Guava & River Rock. Love it!!

Really... I'm going to bed. It's way late in my terms!

Enjoy tomorrow as it's "Monday" for us all!!

Been a while...

Well... I missed Kristina Werner's challenge last week. Between work, Meagan's invite order, and trying to make cards for the Alzheimer's Fundraiser, I just ran out of time!!

She didn't post one this week, however, because she is off to NYC for a convention. Lucky!!

Here is a color challenge card from last week over at Splitcoast. I just love these colors together. Ruby Red, Soft Sky, & Pumpkin Pie. Of course I love them- hello... Pumpkin Pie!! ;)

I used the blender pens to pick up the colors from the ink pads to use to color the teacup and flowers. I used some rub-ons from the Perfect Day set for the white swirl. The patterned paper is stamped with flowers from the Fabulous Flowers set, which I just LOVE right now!!
The next card was made for my dad's best friend, who is getting married this weekend. Their colors are purple & silver, so I wanted something elegant and I wanted to use the biggest of the Fabulous Flowers set... I embossed one in black, one in irridescent ice, and stamped the last one in Almost Amethyst, then cut them into pieces and attached with a rhintstone brad.
After that, I attached a Mr. & Mrs. from the All Holidays' set and put a oval piece of Hodgepodge hardware around it. I also added a piece of scalloped paper and then tied a sheer ribbon around it.
It may be *the* most elegant card I have EVER made!
I'll try to post a little more... I'm busy with the invites now, however! 100 to make only ONE month to do it... AHHHHHHHHHH!!
Hope everyone is well!

Post Holiday Blues

Well, pretty much all my crafting has come to an abrupt halt! Sadly for me :( !

I really enjoy time to make cards, and I truly enjoy doing it more for others than for myself. It really is time to replenish my own stash as I'm low on every kind of card imaginable. I'd much rather play with new stamps (which are really amazing, by the way!) then focus on ONE theme. I guess I should get on it, though! Pretty soon I'm going to be sending out all the "crappy" cards- the kind I made in the days when I was afraid to mess up or be extra creative!

Here are a few cards I've made with inspiration from the new catalog. You can see the new Bali Breeze Designer Paper as well as two new stamp sets (A Beautiful Life & A Little Birdie Told Me). I have others, so watch for more posts soon.

Hope everyone had a fabulous holiday and enjoy the New Year!
